Setting public mode on Gespage.
Public mode can be set for some MFP to access various functions without login (f.e. B&W copy). This is made possible via the Public Mode.
Making public mode accessible requires three steps:
1. Creating the public user and assigning it to the public group
2. Setting the public group's policies
3. Activating the e-terminal's Public Mode.
_______________
1. Creating the public user and assigning it to the public group
Creating the user "public" is made via Gespage's admin portal in Accounts \ Users \ Add Users :
The account's name must be "public" and it needs to be set to unlimited.
Next, you'll need to add this user to the "public" user group. If it doesn't already exist, you can create it if you go to Accounts \ User Groups \ Add Group.
The group's name must be set to « public ».
After choosing the "public" user and having clicked "Add User" to add it to the group, you must click on "Approve" for the changes to be registered.

2. Setting the public group's policies
The group's policies and access right, for the public user, are set through the printer's configuration menu that you can access on Gespage's admin page.
To do so, select the MFP in the device list accessible via the "Printer" menu.
Add the public group and select the functionnalities enabled for public users (often, only B&W printing and scans are allowed):
