Gespage Compatibility with the New Kyocera TASKalfa MZ Series

Kyocera recently launched its new range of TASKalfa MZ Series multifunction printers, and we're pleased to inform you that Gespage now supports these new models. To ensure optimal integration and to benefit from all Gespage features, particular attention must be paid to the firmware version of your Kyocera MFP.

Why Update Your Firmware?

Updating the firmware on your Kyocera TASKalfa MZ Series MFP is crucial to ensure seamless compatibility and a fully functional experience with Gespage. The most significant reason to update is to resolve a known issue where the MFP's screen might appear gray during the first badge connection when using older firmware versions. This update guarantees a smooth and immediate display of the Gespage eTerminal interface, enhancing user experience from the start.

Required Firmware: Current Beta Version

To ensure full compatibility with the Gespage eTerminal on Kyocera TASKalfa MZ series MFPs, it's essential to install a specific firmware version. Currently, the required version is a beta firmware:

  • Required Kyocera Firmware Version: TASKalfa_MZ3200i_MZ4000i_v.03.04.0031_(2025-03-13)_13216121

Important: This firmware is a BETA version. This means it's still under development and may potentially contain bugs or unexpected behaviors. We strongly recommend using it with caution, ideally in a test environment before production deployment. We are working closely with Kyocera to validate a stable version.

Resolution of the Gray Screen Issue

We're happy to confirm that the beta firmware version TASKalfa_MZ3200i_MZ4000i_v.03.04.0031_(2025-03-13)_13216121 for Kyocera resolves the gray screen issue that could appear during the first badge connection on Kyocera TASKalfa MZ Series MFPs. Using this firmware now ensures a smooth and immediate experience with the Gespage eTerminal from the very first authentication.
