PostgreSQL Update Procedure

The steps below describe the update process for a standard configuration using PostgreSQL, which is included by default with Gespage.


If you are using an MS-SQL database, please contact Gespage Support.


1. Configuration Backup

  • Take a snapshot if the server is virtualized.
  • Back up any custom files, including:
    • The LDAPImport.groovy script (C:\Program Files\Gespage\GespageCore\server\resources\scripts).
    • The keystore files keystore.jks and cacert.jks (C:\Program Files\Gespage\GespageCore\server\config).

 

2. Database Backup

  1. Access the Gespage interface (Server > System > Backup).
  2. Download the backup file.
    • Default location: C:\Program Files\Gespage\GespageCore\db\postgresql\save.



3. Uninstalling Gespage and PostgreSQL

  1. Uninstall Gespage.
  2. Uninstall PostgreSQL.


4. Installing the New Version of Gespage

  • Run the installer and select "New Server Installation."


5. Restoring the Backup

  1. Access the Gespage interface (System > Restore).
  2. Import the backup file.
