Setting up a Gespage printer and popup on windows not connected to the domain

When a client computer is not connected to the domain, every time the PC restarts, the connection with the printer is lost. There is therefore a way to avoid this.


Setting up a Gespage printer and popup on Windows :

 

Install a printer on Windows:

 

To add a printer managed by Gespage on Windows not connected to the domain, you must add an IP printer with the LPR protocol :

 

First, activate the LPR Port Monitor on client computers in control panel/Program and Feature/Enable or Disable Windows Features.

 

Then we add the printer on the protocol LPR

 


Name or address of server providing lpd : IP address of the Server where the Gespage service is installed. 

Name of printer op pint queue on that server : Name of the printer as it appears in Gespage. (Attention this parameter is case sensitive)

To install the popup on Windows, simply launch the popup executable and follow the instructions

 


Address: IP address of the Server where the Gespage service is installed.
