Add a certificate to Gespage

The following steps are run from a Linux server, nevertheless the files generated can be copy to the Windows server where Gespage is installed.

Take the readable root and intermediate certificate with .crt or .pem extension.

Edit the intermediate certificate and copy it below the root certificate, the ending file must be as type:

-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----

xxxxxxx

-----END CERTIFICATE-----

-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----

xxxxxxx

-----END CERTIFICATE-----

It is possible to edit it with Linux using the command line:

cat domaine.crt AddTrustCA.crt > bundle.crt

Check that the generate file have the same MD5 as the private key:

openssl x509 -noout -modulus -in bundle.crt | openssl md5

openssl rsa -noout -modulus -in mydomain.key | openssl md5

Copy the cacert.jks file from Gespage in the current directory:

cp C:\Programes\Gespage\GespageCore\server\config\cacerts.jks

Imprt teh bundle.crt in the cacerts.jks:

keytool -import -trustcacerts -alias s1as -file bundle.crt -keystore cacerts.jks -storepass changeit

Then valid the certificate

Convert the certificates and the private key to a .p12 file (pkcs12 format).

The certificate alias must be s1as.

The keystore password must be “changeit”.

openssl pkcs12 -export -in bundle.crt -inkey mydomain.key -out mydomain.p12 -name s1as

set the password: “changeit”

Imprt the .p12 file into the keystore.jks:

keytool -importkeystore -deststorepass changeit -destkeypass changeit -destkeystore keystore.jks -srckeystore mydomain.p12 -srcstoretype PKCS12 -srcstorepass changeit -alias s1as

Then, copy the keystore.jks and cacerts.jks into the directory: C:\ProgramFiles\Gespage\GespageCore\server\config\ to the Gespage server and then restart the Gespage Application service to apply the modification.
